Images of the guitar gathered from across the internet. We've credited where we can. If you own an image and want the credit changed, get in touch. And if you'd like something removed, just say: we make nothing from this site and only want it to show the band and the guitar at their best, but we'll take anything down straight away.
Where these come from
The Phantom turns up all over the internet, and this page is our attempt to gather it in one place: the band on stage, press shots, and photographs taken by people who were simply there.
The guitar was used on stage during the 1980 European tour and on the recording of "Heart and Soul", so it appears in a good number of the most familiar images of the band — often slightly to one side of whatever the photograph is nominally of.
Credit, and taking things down
We have credited what we can. Plenty of these have been copied around so many times that the original photographer is genuinely hard to establish, and we would rather show the work and correct the credit than leave it out.
If you took one of these and the credit is wrong or missing, tell us and we will fix it. If you would rather it was not here at all, tell us and we will remove it, no argument and no questions. We make nothing from this site — the only thing we want from it is for the band and the guitar to be seen properly.
If you have something we haven't
If you have a photograph of the Phantom that is not here, we would like to see it, whether or not you want it published. Every so often one surfaces that fills in a gap. Send it over.
